

Volunteer Opportunity

We provide one-on-one and group tutoring to at-risk students in grades 1-12 during the school year and special summer programs. As a school year tutor, we ask you to commit to the months of September through May. We need to provide consistency in the students' learning. We meet on weekday evenings and weekend mornings/afternoon sessions. We also offer SAT tutorials and college readiness events.

Out of School Tutorial (after school 5 pm - 8:30 pm Mon-Thurs; Sat 11-3)

College 1on1 College Prep (SAT, ACT) Saturdays 11-4

REIGNITE Summer Bridge Enrichment (1 pm - 3 pm & 5 pm - 9 pm Mon - Thurs; Sat 11-3)

Focus on providing career opportunities through a vocational pathway.
We are seeking individuals knowledgeable in at least one of the areas below:
S.T.E.A.M. and S.T.E.M. Purpose
Work in the vocational or trade area
Entrepreneur in a S.T.E.A.M. area
School Teacher or Administration

LIBRARY HUB TEAM
Focus on distributing books to young people in under-resourced communities through community events, schools, and other channels. Host periodic storytelling for the children.
We are seeking individuals who meet at least one of the areas below:

Volunteer Coordinator
- assist with communicating with volunteer inquiries, volunteer tutors, coordinate volunteer celebration, etc.
Site coordinator
- help schedule meetings and program sites. Ensure space and equipment needs are met, oversee refreshments for events, and more.
Event coordinator
- plan and implement events. Be able to think outside the box.
Fundraising
- manage the funding application due dates, locate new funding possibilities, assist in the preparation of grants, reaching out to others for donations, and more.
Program Administrative Assistant
- Assist in organizing materials for programs. Gather data of demographics served. Make phone calls and send emails.
