ADOPT ACADEMIC SUCCESS

Invest in a Student. Empower an Increased Grade Level. Strengthening Self-Confidence

The Opportunity

Babies Youth Children Empowerment, Inc. (BYCE), a Houston-based nonprofit serving students in Grades 1–12, invites businesses to help expand access to consistent, individualized academic tutoring. BYCE especially welcomes partnerships supporting students with learning disabilities or differences and families facing financial barriers. We currently tutor virtually and are implementing in-person sessions.

Corporate partners can contribute qualified volunteer tutors, financial support, or both. Together, we can strengthen foundational skills, build academic confidence, and help students prepare for continued education and career opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Tutoring Program

Your employees may serve as recurring tutors, substitute tutors, subject specialists, academic mentors, or skills-based volunteers. Tutoring opportunities include elementary and middle-school reading, writing, and math; high-school Algebra I/II, English, and Physics. Assignments are based on qualifications, student needs, and availability.

BYCE will coordinate onboarding, appropriate student-safety screening, orientation, scheduling, and academic support. Volunteer roles and time commitments will be mutually agreed upon; a company need not supply tutors to become a financial sponsor.

Time commitment per student: Elementary 1hr per week; Middle School 1.5hrs per week; and High School 2hrs per week.

Community Engagement

Your employees may serve at one-day events, volunteering on February 27, 2027, for our Future Pathways: Exploring Educational Opportunities for Career Success, serving students in Grades 8–12. Another need is our Mobile Library Hub, where we distribute books to young people. These needs include sorting, packing, and distributing books.

What a Corporate Partnership Makes Possible

Corporate financial contributions can help fund academic assessments, instructional resources, tutor recruitment and training, background screening, learning technology, student materials, program coordination and progress monitoring. In-kind support and employee volunteer hours to help implement the service.

Partner Recognition and Engagement

Recognition may include acknowledgment in BYCE communications and on its website, a partnership certificate, opportunities for employee volunteer engagement, positive responses from the community we serve, and an end-of-period impact summary. Larger partnerships may include mutually approved event recognition, employee engagement briefings, and program visits consistent with student safeguarding requirements. Recognition is subject to BYCE and the partnership agreement.

A Flexible Corporate Commitment

Choose one of three approaches: (1) financial sponsorship; (2) employee volunteer tutors and in-kind expertise; or (3) a combined partnership. BYCE will work with your team to define the grade, subject, number of students, timeline, volunteer expectations, funding schedule, and measurable outcomes.

Let’s Build a Partnership

We welcome a conversation about your company’s community investment priorities and how your employees and resources can make a measurable difference in students’ academic success.
